Watch This -- Sports Video Montage - Bigger --Better Quality

Ask, and I will find.

The old link is dead but here is another with a higher quality version and hence a bigger file. Enjoy the sports memories

Thanks. Whoever put that together had a serious Mohammed Ali fetish.

Definitely some great moments in there, but typically US-centric. No Eddy Merckx? Getouttahere!

And as far as I could tell there was no footage of Grete Waitz in any of her NYC Marathon wins, no Pre, and no Lasse Viren. Oh, and no Abebe Bikila winning the Olympic marathon barefoot?

I’d also add Robin Ventura’s “grand slam single” against the Braves in 1999, or at least some Tom Terrific and the 1969 Miracle Mets, but that’s my personal bias showing.

And just for kicks and for its pop cultural significance, I would have added Evel Knievel’s jump across the Snake River Canyon.

Thank you so much for posting this. I remember when ESPN aired it at the end of 1999/beginning of 2000, but never made a copy. It reminded me a lot of times with my dad, who passed away in 1996 – sporting memories we shared, and those from when he was growing up that he had told me about. So it was very cool to watch it again, and share now with my son, who was born in 1997. (And yes, I’ll share it with my daughter, too, when she gets home from camp.) For some reason – the “Duh” factor, I guess – I never thought to search for it on the internet.

I could only watch the first 3:23 and then it stopped, for some reason. If anyone has problems, I also found it on another site where I was able to download the entire 6:52 video. The very long link is below.

They certainly could have done without some of the clips. My top edit would be removing Nancy Kerrigan wailing? That is a great moment in sports history? WTF?

Anyway, thanks again for posting the link.
