Has anyone had success with mounting a Garmin watch (I’ve got a 245) on an out-front mount meant for a bike computer? I don’t like having the watch on my wrist when I ride and don’t need it for HR, since I run a chest strap, but I’m looking for something sleeker than just strapping the watch to the bars.
There was an easy solution to this in the time before optical HR sensors on watches - my old 310xt could be fitted with an aftermarket twist-lock system that let me detach it from my wristband and twist onto an out-front bike mount. Used this setup for triathlons and duathlons for years. I don’t think there’s any way to do this with contemporary watches though.
