Washington DC Swimming Pools

I may be moving to Washington DC for employment reasons in the near future and would like to know what swimming pools are tri friendly in the DC and northern Virginia area. Longer pools (25 or 50 meter) and open at 5 to 6 a.m. are a plus. Tim

This is a good resource for DC locations:

If you’re moving to Northern VA, there are a lot of other options. A more specific location would be really helpful to narrow down that list.

I know the George Mason Aquatic Center in Fairfax goes 50m length during the summer. During other times they have a ton of 25m lanes.

If you are going to live in Fairfax County. This place is great and affordable:

There are a ton, not sure where you’re coming from but the swimming in DC is way better than most places I’ve been.

Need a bit more info than DC or Northern Virginia

I live in Arlington, VA and my two steady pools are Wilson Aquatic Center in Tenleytown and Washington & Lee Aquatic center in Ballston. W&L has a solid masters team with some former college swimmers, and is easy before or after work. Wilson is easily the nicest pool in the DMV and a great place to swim long course.

Honestly swimming in the DMV is great. You’ll definitely find a pool or pools that meet your needs.

Bump, and thanks to those of you have given me suggestions. Tim
