Hi,
The P4 is in many minds the most hyped and awaited TT bike of recent note.
It is coming in above the most popular TT bike of all time.
The P4 is better in any number of areas, and Cervelo had a tough act to improve on, but oddly, there are a good number of dissenters when it comes to fully embracing the latest and greatest.
Sounds kind of similar to the issue faced by Ducati when they replaced the Legendary 916 with the new and improved 999.
Yes it was better and faster, but in the end it was not fully embraced by the tifosi, and the only cure was bringing out a new bike, the 1098, that had many styling cues that had so endeared the 916 to many Ducati fans.
It is not a truly fair comparison (as styling on Motos can be some fashion and some form, TT bikes need to be 98% Form and not much left over for fashion)
Maybe the P4 will make some success, but the 2012 P5 will be the great leap forward?
I guess this is what happens when you compose a thread while watching BBC/ America’s TopGear show.
WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING (ohhh!, caps lock, my bad ![]()
If you have a 56cm P4 that is not lighting your fire, I will take it off your hands, so you can move onto something really exciting and soon to come out Like this summer’s Giant TT bike.
