Warm-Up Thread . . . A Follow Up Question

By the way, I agree with the Francois “camp” that a lengthy warm-up is preferred and the camp that suggests some race pace efforts to get the body use to some lactate . …

However . . .The debate below contemplates starting the event fairly close after finishing your warm-up . . . what about the triathlon where you have to “rack your bike by a certain time, transition closes and the event goes off in intervals” whereby you are starting the event some 10-30 minutes AFTER you complete your warm-up

Food for thought

do a warm up swim, head back to the start line in time for the start. this is a problem for pool based tris where often there is no warm up in the pool.
