I think an overlooked issue is the night the “ceasefire” was announced, Israel continued to be targeted both from Iran and Lebanon. I understand that Hezbollah is a people and Lebanon is a country. It is the countries responsibility to stop Hezbollah and they haven’t for, well, ever. So Israel targets sites in Lebanon where the rockets are coming from. Yes, there are innocent civilians, but there are also innocent civilians in Israel who do not deserve to spend their days running to and from bomb shelters like they have for decades. It’s time for Lebanon to step up and get rid of the terrorist group existing in their midst. Then their people will be safe. Then number one objective of government (in my eyes) is to protect their people. That is what Israel is doing and Lebanon is not by allowing Hezbollah to exist.
From the summary, it mentions the war against Iran, which is what we were told was going on. Hezbollah, like Iran, are retaliating against the attack by Israel and the U.S
Following the start of a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran in February 2026, Hezbollah launched retaliatory strikes at Israel, expanding the conflict…
If the U.S was attacked by China, would you retaliate?
You said Iran reacted to them bombing a terrorist organization. They said they reacted to Israel bombing Lebanon. Either all casualties were Hezbollah, or Iran was reacting to some combination of terrorist and citizen deaths. You’re either implying the bombing was Hezbollah specific or your terrible at making your point. Now pedant away as usual.
Oh…so now Iran cares about civilian casualties? After the have murdered thousands of their own people? Does that really make any sense? A bit of critical thinking would indicate that they might be more worried about fighters getting killed and losing military strength against IDF.
The point of my previous argument which spiraled thi, is that terrorists hide among civilians as part of the coward tactics, this will always increase the collateral damage to civilians, it does not necessarily that the opposing military force is deliberately targeting civilians. Example of the opposite: Ukrainian forces do not hide among civilians, so if Russia is hitting an apartment building, it does make sense they are targeting civilians as they know their military forces aren’t there. This isn’t the case of Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis.
This is getting interesting. He appears to undercut Vance who said Lebanon wasn’t part of the peace deal. The frustration of realizing he’s dragged us into Israel’s war is starting to show.
Reporter: Israel claims Iran violated the peace agreement, as well as the ceasefire agreement. Do you believe Iran is still committed to peace?
Trump: Yeah, I think so. They violated it, but Israel violated it too.
Reporter: Are you questioning whether Israel is committed to…
President: Israel, we just reached a deal, and they went out and dropped a wave of bombs, the kind of scale I ain’t never seen before. This is the biggest bombing we’ve ever seen. I’m not happy with Israel.
You know, when I say: “Alright, now you got 12 hours,” you don’t go out in the first hour and dump everything you’ve got on 'em. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either.
But if Israel went out again this morning, just 'cause one rocket that didn’t even land got fired—maybe a misfire, and it didn’t even hit the ground. I’m not happy about that.
Reporter: Can you respond to Iran?
President: You know what? Basically, we’ve got two countries that’ve been at war, fought so long and so hard that they don’t even know what the fuck they’re doin’ themselves. You get what I’m sayin’?
I don’t have a hard time believing it. It was said in response to those ever searching for a peaceful answer to centuries old religious violent conflict.
