Wanted: Road Bike 60cm - 63cm

Greetings Slowtwitchers:

A friend of mine is getting in road cycling and has committed to riding in a local 180 mile MS 150 charity ride. He needs a new road bike. My suggestions was to find a used bike, in good condition.

Based on a fitting, a 60cm - 63cm should fit him (he is 6’3), Here is what I am looking for:

  • A bike with STI shifters
  • Preferably Shimano 105 or better
  • A double crank set
  • 9 or 10 speed
  • Road bike geometry (while I would love to get him on a tri/TT bike, I need to start him on a road bike)

I’m not looking for anything fancy or a leading brand name. Just a good road bike that you may have collecting dust in the garage.

I have a 60cm Guru Geneo frameset if you are interested. Top tube is 58.5cm with a headtube length of 20cm (this includes headset) and includes an Alpha Q GS-10 fork painted to match the frame. This is a 2008 frameset that has 20 miles on it. It was a shop display bike. I would sell it as a frameset or can build it several different ways depending on price desired.
