I’m also looking for one. I will either buy one outright or trade my 175 Zipp 300 crankset or my 170 Campy Chorus crankset. Both have bottom brackets. I would prefer something in a 130(non-compact Shimano) bolt pattern.

look on ebay. A buddy just got some FSA SLK’s with BB new in the box.

Thanks, beaker. I saw some carbon ones with bb but was trying to avoid paying $250 if at all possible. I may give in but wanted to try here first.

I got an Ultegra 165mm 6600 crankset on ebay for $75 + $10 shipping.

Ok, I searched eBay. Even specified 6600. Even filtered them all down to only $75 cranksets and nothing. Can you PM me a link?

Sorry, you may have misunderstood me. I looked for ~1month. I eventually won an auction for $75 +10

I’m sure that you can do better than 150, but nashbar even has it for $200 and they always have 20% off deals. Good luck. If you’re not in a hurry, just keep checking, you’ll get them.

You’re probably a great person to ask then…what do you think of them? It would just seem to make sense to me that a fit rider would be able to have a (slightly)higher top-end speed because there is (slightly) less area to cover. I’m 5’6 1/2" so I know I should be on 170. I even tried 175 and could tell the difference in that my legs got tired sooner.

Anyways, what has your experience been?

Anyway. I bought them on a lark for position reasons. I’m ~6"0: so I was trying to get a bit more drop and improve the tight hip angle. I honestly did not notice any difference between them and the 172.5s. BUT, I have not really been riding the tri bike, so I did enough testing to see that my power profiles were not adversely affected, but not much more…

When I say that I could not notice a difference, it felt different, but the PT said it wasn’t… I’ve only really been riding the road bike, so it’s still up in the air for me. But for $90 it was worth a test. And I’m sure that you can find a similar deal though CL, Ebay if you give it a bit of time.

I just received my second Compact Gossamer Mega Exo 50-34 165mm crank and bb from UPS today.

I had placed this order a couple months ago, but purchased a set on ebay in the meantime.

Let me know if you are interested otherwise I’ll be returning them…
