I have some really nice wheels that I would probably use (Velomax Circuits) - Can i get fitted and buy the bike with everything but the wheels?
I live in South Dakota - how many trips to MI would I have to make? Or, how many people would I have to have want a bike fit here for you to travel (if possible)?
As long as I am not buying anything that doesn’t even exist yet (the carbon cervelo complaints, etc…) and if it were in stock, how long would it take to get the bike (on average)?
Pretty much, I want to get fitted then have you tell me which frame(s) to get. I have no need for a cervelo if it won’t fit me the best.
#4 is the most sensible thing way to go through the process. One which most of us forget. Ring the shop and ask these questions, Tom or Mike O’Donnell with be able to answer all these questions.
Go and enjoy the experience, as I know you will, and you will see and feel the benefits.
Give the shop a ring (Phone (313) 278-1350) do not pm or email Tom D. I guarantee he will not find it. He usually has a couple hundred pm’s on his account at any given moment. Talk to Mike (either one) or Tom about what needs to be done before you commit to a trip. Tom has fit people the world over and has had people fly in before. He has a system for this with all the attention to detail that makes Bikesport the “go to” shop for this.
Tom has not been posting lately except to ask about exotic destinations for a race.
Which means that A) he might miss your post, and B) the store is swamped as usual, which is the reason for A and C), Tom needs to go do some race we all have read about but can’t swing. So that D) he can post a new editorial
These guys are right. I’m in here now helping a student with his Master’s Thesis (another thing I do for a living…).
You can phone me tomorrow in the shop and ask for me if I don’t answer. I have a new phone that is much easier for me to use. Most people don’t know this, but I have a hearing problem.
I’ll go over each of these questions with you.
Also, if you come to town you might get an outing on the new Bikesport yacht in addition to some good riding in with the group here. It is quite an experience, and I use the term “expereince” with all creative license…
Give me a call tomorrow if it’s convenient for you. I’d love to talk shop!
