Wahoo KICKR App/Software Feature Chart

Here’s the current list of KICKR-compatible apps, snagged from this post:

The Wahoo site is out-of-date as there are no references to BKOOL, Bull Trainer, Virtual Trainer etc. Why they wouldn’t have this matrix available anywhere besides an in-box printout is baffling.

Also, to bucket native OS X apps with Boot Camp / Fusion / Parallels apps is insulting to native OS X apps, as the category should be “Windows* / Mac**” where “** - May be compatible with Mac hardware via Boot Camp / Fusion / …” Besides, not all Mac hardware is BTLE compatible.

The TrainerRoad Mac hardware requirement (MacBook Pro, Spring 2012) in the Wahoo chart is also wrong. Any Mac with working BTLE and recent OS X should work with TrainerRoad, incl. iMacs and MacBook Airs. Older hardware without built-in BTLE can use a BTLE dongle.

I’ll bump this up as it was a pain for me to find out what to use. I’ll plug virtualtraining as my favourite but waiting trainer road ipad version. Also nice touch is automatic upload to TP on rides.

Great job on this.
