Voting day cannot come soon enough

So glad all this mud slinging is about over. I have yet to hear a person tell what he will do if elected.

I turned off my answering machine because I was tired of having to delete all the political messages on the machine.

And the stacks and stacks of the same full color fliers every single day that don’t even get looked at and right into the recycle bin. I would NEVER donate to any political campaign. It is money wasted on those crappy fliers and commercials.

Yet people will continue to vote for the same two parties causing all the problems.

Things won’t change until people change how they vote.

The Republican Party has been the far worse offender on my phone line - about twice the volume of calls, and later at night, too.

I’ve received two proposition flyers and one candidate flyer in the mail. One robo call for a candidate but 3 or 4 political surveys that I hung up on. I don’t watch TV but listened to part of one governor debate on the radio. That’s it.

I’m going to vote for a couple local tax things and leave the rest blank. Way too much bullshit.

Exactly. This political crap is old amd extremely wasteful.

Can’t wait to flush some republican candidates down the toilet with my votes. Of course, here in California, the republican governor candidate has no chance in hell of winning so it’s not going to be too difficult to empty out the republican trash. Yeah, the republicans and conservatives for sure will be licking the nut sacks of my self and other voters.

The last two Saturdays I have had political phone calls at 8:01. Idiots are pissing me off!!!

What are you going to do come Wed when Team Donkey loses the Senate and loses a couple more Gov seats?

Not sure about BullWinkle, but I expect that I will wake up, and go to work. Nothing will change, midterm elections of a second term are almost always brutal for the President’s party. the Senate still requires 60 votes to end a filibuster, and 2/3 to override a veto. The GOP has run unrelentingly on slamming the POTUS, rather than offering real policy alternatives that won’t get shot down. The only real difference may be that the GOP will be able to shut down almost all judicial nominations. OTOH, the GOP is an interesting situation: will the Senate be able to pass any legislation that will get votes from a dwindling number of moderate Democrats, without losing their entire base of support? The GOP will need to actually pass some laws by 2016, and Obama will be able take some credit (like Clinton did in the late 90’s).

I may not go to work. I’ve determined that it does not matter… May not vote. I’m so sick of this shit.

I blame a lot of it on the Supreme Court “Citizens United” decision of 2010. Here in Wisconsin (and other states as well) millions of $$$ are being poured in for both sides from out of state. Hell, too bad all the money didn’t just go to balancing the budget instead of poluting the air waves with negative crap (again, from both sides)

Here in Illinois it’s the campaigns of the governors (and one democratic PAC) that are just whaling on each other, they started negative campaigning the day of the primary. Quinn’s campaign seems to consist of ignore my incompetence and possible corruption because Rauner’s private equity fund owned a nursing home where old people died and Rauner’s is Quinn is probably corrupt and an definitely incompetent, I’m super rich and therefore not beholden to special interests. The TV commercials are vicious and I don’t think the candidates really like each other.

Received phone calls at 8:01 yesterday morning as well as this morning. Made me want to vote against Rick Scott for disturbing my mornings.
