I ride a transition pro alum frame now( which i love) Have a chance for a Kuota k-factor! Which do you guys think is the better bike! I am also debating because im doing palcid, which is my 1st IM, and one other thing to keep in ming is im a decent time trial rider, and a great climber at all! Thanks for all your imput!!!
Where do we vote…or do we just put or answer in our post?
I’d say stay with what you have and get some other training aid.
I hate to answer a question with a question, and you did provide some good information but…
-
How good of a runner are you?
-
Do you trend toward steep or shallow seat angles?
-
High or low head tubes?
-
Climbing style? Seated or standing?
-
Cadence? Masher or spinner?
-
Torso to leg length ratio? Log torso or short torso?
Answers to those question will give all of us some insights into how you like to provide so we can provide better recommendations.
thanks for you imput, so lets see im a decent runner sub 19 5k, 62 15k, 330 marathon( not sure what my marathon time will be off the bike) angles im not sure about(my trans seems to be comfy) top tube on the transition slopes good kuota seems straighter, i prefer to climb standing but am trying to change that, higher cadence even my tt are over 80 or rpm, im 5’10.5 with a just a touch over 30in inseam so pretty even! What do you think?
i think that you’re a nut.
so are you saying to make the switch or not too?
Technically, I suppose that you’re a legume…
But I still think you’re a nut!

Tom can you elaborate a bit more on how these things would effect which bike to choose, a few of these seem obvious a few do not though such as :
-
How good of a runner are you?
-
Climbing style? Seated or standing?
-
Cadence? Masher or spinner?
Thank you
