I’m thinking about going with Vittoria Pit Stop, instead having to deal with swapping out a tubular during a race. Demerly has a positive review of this product on hos website but wanted to know if anyone else has used this. Also, can it work with a disc. Based on the nozzle configuration, I can’t tell if it will work with a disc.
While Tom has had good experience, other’s have not.
It all depends on the nature of your flat AND your ability to use the product. Personally, I would never consider this an alternative to carrying a spare tubular or tube, esp in a triathlon when resting for a few mins fixing a tire simply means you’re a bit more fresh for the run. Of course in a sprint (or some Oly), you’re out of the running whether you’re using Pit Stop or not.
Changing a spare is a consistent and repeatable process. While the application of Pit Stop is consistent and repeatable, the nature of the problem is not.
Two thumbs down. Over engineered product, not worth the price and risk of failed fix.
