Vitamin suggestions?

Okay, about absorption rates, I take synthroid daily for a hypothyroid issue. I have to take it early in the AM on an empty stomach, and have gotten to the point where I wake up about an hour earlier than necessary, take my pill, and go back to sleep so that I can eat when I get up for real (since i’m not supposed to eat for an hour after taking it). Also, I’ve been advised by my pharmacy to not take any iron containing vitamins/supplements for four hours after taking it. So I take my vitys in the evening with my dinner. You said that absoption rates are usually 0-12 percent on an empty stomach. Is it better or worse with food? I can’t adjust my med schedule at all, but should I be taking the vitys at a different time, or on an empty stomach?
I may have not been clear. Most vitamins have a 0-12% absorption rate.
Isotonix should be taken on an empty stomach. Other brands and types of vitamins should be taken with food for best absorption. For instance a CoQ10 is often best absorbed with food.

Isotonix absorption rate is worse when taken with food because you body has already closed the valve in the bottom of the stomach. Because of this you no longer get the benefit of taking in an isotonic solution. What the absorption exact absorption rate of Isotonix is when taken with food I don’t know, but I’d guess it’s probably about the same as Shaklee, maybe a bit better because it doesn’t have schlack binding it together.

I’m not an MD so I can’t say if you should adjust your med schedule, that is up to you and your MD.
