Vitamin patches?

Anyone have experience with using like b12 or multi vitamin or energy patches in addition to training, racing?

Thoughts? Apparently the vitamin absorption rate is more than pills

Unless you have been diagnosed as deficient, you don’t need any supplements.

Yes, I’m interested in that (didn’t even know they were available) having had impaired gut absorption until I cut out gluten. Calcium and iron are two I need to keep on top of even now.

I agree with dfroelich mostly. I think the days of “Sure I take a daily vitamin, just in case you know, how could it hurt…and it may help me” are gone and have been so. For example, on October 11, 2011, researchers from the University of Minnesota found that women who took supplemental multivitamins died at rates higher than those who didn’t.*

So unless there’s a documented need I’d spend my money of gels for next Sunday’s long ride instead.

Yeah, I totally believe that.
Far fetched speculation with poor study design.

You are shooting way over the target here…

There is much better work out there showing that specific supplementation, given a deficiency, is valuable.
It is also well established that trans-cutaneous adsorption for certain drugs/supplements is superior to the gastrointestinal route.
Plenty of work out there to show that convincingly

Although I do get the “Do no harm” spiel, as I do know of cases where persons died from a supplement overdose.
Very rare occurrence, though.

Vitamisn are just expensive pee coloring. So this is just a faster way to get your pee colored.
