This morning I was advised by the Sports Physio I saw that increased Vit D intake would assist in starting the bone growth between the two ends of my clavicle. Now I know that exposure to sunlight is a good way of taking that onboard and the current weather is playing its part for that, so what foods other than oily fish, liver, cod liver oil and dairy products should I try to increase intake? As it’s a protein based Vit, how about the magic of PB?
Many calcium supplements combine it with Vit D.
Oh OK. I’m using Calcium and Boron at the moment so I will have to look at those once these run out.
This may sound obvious, but how about Vitamin D drops? My Vitamin D levels were low in a recent health screening and I am taking some Vitamin D drops to raise those levels slightly.
What are Vitamin D drops? Liquid form? I haven’t heard of that before.
Let me search for what I am taking and I’ll post again in a second.

THanks, Jeff.
Here is the link. The drops are about a quarter of the way down. I am taking them on advice from a health care professional. I am not sure if these are available over the counter.

I know my chiropractor sells it. His website is here www.ithelpedme.com. He is a pretty strong cyclist here in Phoenix. Don’t know if he would sell it to you after a quick consult or email regarding your current levels. One vial of the drops is pretty cheap and is about a year’s supply.

THanks for that , Jeff. I will have an indept look later as I have to dash to marshall at a beach duathlon now. I’d rather get it naturally if possible but this may be the way to get the amount I need to see results.
'preciate your help.
Hey Jeff, I managed to get some micellised Vit D drops today. I’ll let you know if there is any improvement showing in my Xrays in two weeks time.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Great, I hope it works out for you. I haven’t had my levels rechecked yet to see if there has been an improvement. My chiropractor wants to wait 6 months before rechecking.

Milk and Soymilk are usually somewhat fortified, other than that, I used to take supplements of 400UI of Vitamine D for a while. Of course check with your doctor first. They come also combined with Calcium supps, but too much calcium is also not good, the best is asking your doctor.
Interesting find on the topic at WebMD:

Seems to be saying that 1,000IU per day is relatively safe, and that you need more as you get older (or if you live in a dreary, cloudy place like, say, England ;-)…
Now, now Mike we’re in the best week of sun hours for the whole of this weird summer! 'Preciate the link, I’ll have a read in the morning.
