Visiontech routing question?help

i have a pair of vision tech pro aerobars i picked up used for super cheap. i’m building my TT bike and i cant figure out how to route the brake cable from the inside of the handle. i am trying to use profile QuikStop brake levers. i’m wondering if i can even use these brake levers?

do the dia comp 188 sit to the outside (the cable doesn’t go into the bull horn base bar)???

any help…any?

luke

i figured out dia comp are external routing.

can i use an internal routing (profile QS2) brake lever on a vision tech.? if so how???

thanks. luke

Darn, I have never installed the Profile levers on Vison Techs. We have always used the Dia-Compes which, as you’ve discovered, run outside the bar.

Sorry dude. I’m not of much help.

My LBS found the same problem when they did the work on my built Trek TT. They had to run the cables outside for the Dia Compe brand brake levers. They also ran into the problem that some other brands do not fit into the Trimax Plus, even though the distributor said they would. Outside/inside, who cares as long as the bike fits and you ride it. I just happen to race mine on clincher Hed 3’s, but that is another post, right Tom.

i would run them if i could inside or outside, but i think i’m SOL. since they are internal…there is no place for the cable to go…i looked into the bullhorn end with a light and felt into it with a wire, and the no possible way to run the cable without drilling a seperate hole…

so if anyone wants to buy some profile QS2 they are for sale…since i sanded then down just a hair to fit into the ends i don’t think the LBS will take them back. they will still fit into any other bars.
