Has anyone experienced a problem with the arm rest support bracket screws shearing off. Both of my supports broke off due to rusted machine bolts shearing. Why wouldn’t Vision Tech supply a stainless steel bolt in such a critical area. Now I need to drill & tap all four holes to remount the pad brackets. Not too much quality put into their design I see.

First thing I do with any new front-end parts (stem, clip-ons) is go buy stainless bolts to replace the factory ones. We sweat too much over those things, and the bolts get weak quickly.
I agree with you that these companies should ship their stuff with stainless bolts.
What a mistake I made not doing what you suggested. Should have upgraded those bolts. Now I have a problem with my bars that cost me near $300 two years ago.
I’ve always found what I need at the hardware store. If there is an odd bolt spec, you can always look up a machine shop supply house in the yellow pages. Bring your originals in and they’ll set you up. Marine (boat) shops are also a good source, since every bolt on a boat needs to be stainless.
BTW – I also have stainless bottle cage bolts and on that little plastic cable guide under the bb shell. Bad corrosion spots.
