Does anybody know where can I find it online ?

Call Nytro (www.nytro.com), I don’t see it on their site, but I know they carry it.
Call Al at R&A Cycles. They have a crap load of them!
So how much does it cost to drop 30g from the aluminum bar?
Not sure, but they do have a thinner profile and appear to be a more aero option being cleaner looking then the alu ones.

Indeed!

Can’t your lbs have one ordered in a couple of days? We can get them in two or three days.

The FSA website uses the exact same wording to describe the aerodynamic shape of both the carbon and the aluminum base bar. The photos look virtually identical. I’d think if there were some aerodynamic shape advantage, FSA would play it up to encourage more sales of the higher-priced item.

Exactly how much is a “crap load”? ![]()

I emailed them back in october asking what MSRP was going to be and was told $230. No way in heck would I spend that money just to get a carbon basebar over their aluminum one.
Just measured- the cross section of the carbon ones is 6mm, the alu ones are a tad over 11mm not to mention that the hand holds are sleaker and smaller.
upwards of a dozen or so.

I’m not sure but for 30 grams it isn’t worth it when you can go to chucksbikes.com and get the alu base bar, levers, and cables for $65 + shipping…oh yeah and you can spit before you mount and be 30 grams lighter.
I just sent a message to them … thanks a lot !!!
Have you ridden one of these? I was originally very interested until my LBS told me they test road at Interbike and had a fair bit of flex in the bar - was looking for other opinions before dropping the $
What’s wrong with having flex in the base bar (as long as it doesn’t break or compromise handling)? advantages, increased comfort on bad roads.
Downsides??

Look at this thread… apparently there are some people willing to spend almost $180 more dollars to save 30g ![]()
I went down their last week and they didn’t have any. Did they get some in recently?
i was in there a couple of weeks ago and chatting with the mechanic; they had the bars installed on a newly built bike. Maybe since then they sold out or that one was a special order.
