Vision aerodynamic bridge

What is an “aerodynamic bridge”? Is this for real? That would really screw up my hand position.

"Vision/FSA
You can now buy the miniature Vision clip-on bar that Ivan Basso used on L’Alpe d’Huez. It has low elbow pads and an aerodynamic bridge. The Full Speed Ahead road bars (FSA owns Vision) have a marked “extended clamping zone” to show you where you can and cannot clamp a clip-on bar. "

Vision’s site does not show it:

I would guess it is for races which require a “closed loop” aerobar (some federations require this for some races)
.

OK, thanks, that makes sense
