Who is racing at the Rumpass in Bumpass International or Sprint this weekend? This is the first non-pool triathlon of the season to be best of my knowledge.
I’ll be there racing the oly… Looks like its going to be great weather at least.
I’ll be doing the sprint - wondering about the water temp?

High 50’s low 60’s last I saw.
Lets hope, it always seems to rain here on the weekends!
I’ll be there, along with some Virginia Tech Tri Club members who aren’t going to nationals.
55 currently at the north marina, so a few degrees warmer on the south end of the lake.
I’ll be doing the Olympic. Anyone know the bike course? Is it like Giant Acorn (which, if I remember correctly, has a big hill coming up out of transition and down to the finish)?
I’ll be in Rosetta Stone kit. Come say hi.

Looks like i wont be the only College racer there after all. Why are you guys not going to nats. Im doing an Ironman this year and couldnt justify paying for both.
I hear the JMU tri club is sending some people, too.
Not much for hills - its two loops of this course:

We are sending our 14 (7 male, 7 female) to Nationals. The others are going to this race.
I think the course is identical to Giant Acorn… not too hilly or flat either. I like it.
JMU is sending about 12 people

I was thinking about the Oly, but haven’t signed up yet. Convince me it will be warm and I’ll go ![]()

It was nice meeting you the other day Jack. Hope your race went well
