Any advice on things to do while tapering? The workouts were kinda my way to realease the tension, and now they are being cut short- which gives me WAY too much time to think about things
Start counting backwards from 28 billion. That should occupy some time.
Ahh, the joys of tapering. Don’t sneeze! Don’t cough! Don’t lift anything! Get all the snotty little kids away from me! What’s that scratch in my throat??!!! If I do a 5-hour ride the day before the race, will it trash me?

I think I gotta cut my taper down to 2 weeks- I’m not ready to sit around

I’m so jealous. I did IMFL last year and I can’t believe a year has gone by. Enjoy these last few weeks and take in everything at the race site. PS…you’ll be up early the morning after the race. As soon as you can move, get over to the village and buy your finisher gear. We were late and all the cool stuff was almost gone.
To add to my last post. It’s a huge, amazing, important, potentially life changing race. But still, it’s one small facet of life. Enjoy it as much as you can.
