That’s really amazing. Steven Redgrave, the British rower who won 5 gold medals in 5 separate Olympics, developed diabetes during his rowing career and still went on to win 2 more golds (I think he developed it after the Barcelona games…). And it sounds like your friend Vinnie is already showing what determination can help achieve in another grueling endurance sport. Best of luck to him, and I hope he can stand at the top of the podium some day to show everyone what’s possible…
