Who’s in?
Looks like we have a nice cool week ahead of us, and the heat will spike for over the weekend, making for a nice hot run course . . .

I’m in! Hating the taper and hoping is not as hot as the forecast is predicting. Water will be warm for sure.
I’m in. And boo for the heat!

I’m in as well. I had a great race last year but the heat this year might change things… Starting to panic slightly.
I’m in. Have never raced a tri in this kind of heat. How much slower do you have to pace the run? Any slowing on the bike or does the wind take care of it?
I raced Boston 2012 and found that the heat slowed me about 20 minutes.

You can find real time water flow rate and temps for Johnson’s Beach here: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?site_no=11467000 it has been really cool all week so temps probably backed off a bit.
I’m in … sort of … Race Announcing
Air Temp? … weather forecast right now is for 55 low / 86 high … pretty average day here in Sonoma County … if the wind comes up from the SW as usual (coastal influence) it cools things down a bit. We have had an odd weather pattern lately and the forecast has changed daily. Considering what it was forecasted for (99) … 86 for a high would be darn good. ALSO, if the breeze stays up it will cool off quick in the late afternoon
If you are worried about the heat:
Any questions feel free to reply to this post and I’ll do my best to respond
Thanks Dave. Can’t wait to hear more about the breeze.
See you at the Friday meeting!
As an addendum … the water temps are as cool as they have been all summer
Temp is ~1.4 sigma High, 75 percentile.
It could be worse.
& while I haven’t acclimatized to heat as well as I could’ve, I’ve acclimatized to dehydration by drinking beer, beer, beer.
My wife and I are both in … Temps will seem cooler than our Vegas summer!
