Can anyone who’s done both races compare the two for me? I’ve done the Vineman 70.3 and just signed up to do the California 70.3. I noticed that the bike is hillier in the California one. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Bike is easier with only one major climb as oppposed to two or three for california. Run for vineman is much harder, although even vineman isn’t that hard - california is just pretty much flat for the most part. The swim is much better at California but I don’t like river swimming, so that may be a personal opinion. Weather - California weather will be much cooler, possibly rainy - Vineman will be HOT.
I’m thinking of signing up for Vineman 70.3, after watching “What it Takes”, I really want to do it, I’m just trying to decide if I can afford it, its not super accessible for me.
