What’s the difference? What am I paying for with the Ventus II? I’m looking at the original Ventus and don’t know much about it.
Couple things
First, old ventus had integrated brake levers, so no di2 unless you rigged something up yourself
Second, old ventus had a “tail” behind the stem that could interfere with some behind the stem cable routing
Third, the new ventus has a drop the brake hoods which I think many would not prefer given the choice
Personally, I’d probably take the original if you’re running a mechanical groupset and it doesn’t interfere with your cable routing.

I ride a BMC TM01 so the cable routing is always an issue for me. Are you familiar with that bike and the potential problems I could have?
doesn’t the BMC require a proprietary stem? if so you couldn’t use the Ventus, it’s integrated.
Ventus 1 the better bar, more aerodynamic I would say. Not very adjustable. Probably the fastest bar ever, or close 2nd to USE Tula.
cabling issues not an issue if you just “kamm” the back of the stem, very simple, however no Di2 on brake levers.
Adjustibility can be improved w/ the “3T Wide Aero Clamp” found on the 3T website. Not sure about the Ventus 2 adjustibility.
Check my Ventus thread on the classifieds for all the little extras you can add to the Ventus.
