Anyone going to Vegas for the Southwest regional champs this weekend? I am registered but the Hotel rates are crazy. Something must be going on in Sin City this weekend. Anyone going and know of any cheap accomodations?
the other event going on in Vegas this weekend is the annual Baker to Vegas Relay. There are about 5000 runners involved in this event. I’ll be there competing in the relay for the Orange County Judges team. Try a travelocity.com search on hotels and you should be able to find something reasonable.
darn, I was hoping it was something like the adult film industry awards. Just a bunch of boring runners. I am sure that is why the room rates are high. The hotels know that the runners wont be dropping major coin in the casinos so they better make it up in room rate.
these aren’t just ordinary runners though. If you’re a crimanal, you don’t want to be anywhere near Vegas this weekend. All of the teams are representing some form of law enforcement, police, border patrol, FBI, etc. from all over the US.
