However this chick is (that is her caller ID), she calls our house incessantly. And when I pick up the phone, no one is there. What is going on?
Same thing happened to me last week. The phone number of the company that was calling me showed up on my caller ID. I called them back and asked them take my number out of there system. Sometimes telemarketers do this to try to get you call them back,so they can sell you something. Not sure if this is the problem your having,but I’d give it a try.

I once had this total and complete idiot call me every morning, without fail at 9:20 am. She would either hang up, or tell me she had the wrong number. Turns out she thought my number was her voicemail. This went on for at least 6 months.

That reminds me, when I was just out of college and rooming with two other girls this woman would call and ask for Michael. I would tell her Michael wasn’t here and she would preceed to call me a liar and a cheat and she knew Michael was there and put him on the phone! This went on for several days. Finally she quit calling.
I recently got a new cell phone. I have gotten 3-4 text messages in the last 10ish days from a symbol that vaguely looks like a tower (one of my friends that has a newborn said it looks like a bottle) with no message. If I hit reply it says no reply address specified.

I had a similar experience, except I found that it helped to fake a foreign accent so my ex would be thrown off my trail.

Are you sure it’s Sampson and not Simpson? I have a sister named Vanessa who has been trying to call our older sister who just moved to Colorado, finally today she asks if I could give her the correct phone number. Just curious, do you live in or near Denver?

it would be strange for sure. If the girl stops calling let me know.
On some of the automated calling systems, it calls you, when you pick up it transfers to one of the solicitors. So you don’t hear anything while it is waiting for one of their folks to pick up. Maybe if you wait, someone will come on the line. Then you tell them to remove you from their list.
