I don’t think so. The guy seems like the type who is still sitting there thinking that somehow his family is going to get him out of this. I still don’t think the realization has set in on him.
I’m guessing that in many of those prisons - money can buy influence. The question is if his family has enough money (and inclination) to buy that influence to make his life a little easier. Even still, there will be plenty of guys in prison who grew up poor and will have a deep resentment for someone like him.

well hi father is dead and no one can figure out where his money was coming from to travel like he was. Hes passing himself off as a poker pro but you still have to question where his bankroll came from not to mention that a very small percentage are winning players. Im leaning towards drug dealing. The girl he killed was reported to be a lesbian so she wasnt in the room for lovin’.
If that’s the case, I’m guessing those funds will dry up quickly. I don’t know if drug dealers and suppliers in that country worry about being on the radar - but if a supplier is worried about him talking too much then it probably wouldn’t take much to fund a “hit” in prison. I hope that doesn’t happen for a while.
What would be payback (after the alleged extortion charges) would be if the Holloway family offered (to him) to influence the Peruvian gov’t to extradite him back to Aruba in exchange for information about their daughter’s death - but never followed through. Get his hopes up, string him along, and then tell him to eat crap and die.

Don’t forget the pending charges here in the US that he was extorting money from Natalie Holloway’s mother in exchange for telling her how he killed Natalie, and what he did with her body. Her mother paid him $15,000 out of the promised $150K before he fled to Peru. I’m guessing $15K goes a long way in Peru…

And the conditions of Peruvian prisons is well documented. I recall reading a story year ago of an American woman, Lori Berenson, (recently released after 15 years), who had serious health problems due to the cold and altitude of the prison to which she was sent.
