VanDerGoon confesses....heading for the big house!

He was there for a poker tournament. He is a professional poker player as was his victim.

It is unusual that he was able to sit in an Aruban interrogation room for weeks and not crack, yet 48 hours with the Peruvian police and he is singing like a canary.

He appears to by psychotic, a cold blooded killer. He picked the wrong country to get caught. He’ll probably not last more than 10 years in a Peruvian prison and you can bet your ass the Dutch authorities won’t be visiting him to check on his conditions. They’ll be running as far away from this guy as possible.

Must be a good player to support that kind of lifestyle. I’m sticking with drug dealer.

If he gets out alive I reckon he will be able to sit on a basketball w/o touching it.

Party time for the VanDerGoon clan!

Uh, because even criminals have rights.

I know it’s a hard concept for you to understand.

Murderers should have rights I agree.

“Joran you have a right to decide how you will look in the morgue: Regular or extra crispy.” Wish Joran could ride the lightning

Uh, because even criminals have rights.

I know it’s a hard concept for you to understand.

Uh, depends on what country you are in.
You know the whole world doesn’t use the US Criminal Code right?

Amazing how many people are experts on Peruvian prisons and interrogation techniques.

So you know that they used excessive techniques to get him to confess. Maybe you’ve got video from you cell phone?

I will admit that they probably weren’t gentle with him. Considering what it very likely appears that he has done - I ask - Who cares?

If you beat or torture a confession out of someone, you can never be certain it was true.

Hey now remember, Yahey is part of the aloof inteligencia. He is all knowing and an authority on all things;)

One thing is for certain. No one on this board know what happened or didn’t happen during his interrogation unless they were in the room. I think the general consensus is that this guys time was coming and now is his day of reckoning.

Beating a confession out of anyone is possible for any human…everyone has a breaking point. However, usually when there is this much stink the you know what isn’t far behind. Waaaay too much going on around this clown.

Absolutely. But at this point, you can’t say that is what happened.

Yes, because I imagine the conditions are top-notch. I bet it will be much like spending 35 years at the local country club. Point being, I hope this scumbag does his time in General Pop, and gets a daily dose of broomsticking!

Sure is. Let’s look at facts shall we:

Prison conditions were harsh for the 44,800 inmates, of whom 2,794 were women. The National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) operated 56 of the country’s 71 active prisons, and the National Police of Peru (PNP) has jurisdiction over the rest. Prisoners with money had access to cell phones, illegal drugs, and meals prepared outside the prison.

Conditions were poor to extremely harsh in facilities for prisoners who lacked funds. Overcrowding, poor sanitation, and inadequate nutrition and health care were serious problems. Inmates had intermittent access to running water, bathing facilities were inadequate, kitchen facilities were unhygienic, and prisoners slept in hallways and common areas for lack of cell space. Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS reportedly remained at near-epidemic levels. The San Juan de Lurigancho men’s prison held 9,874 prisoners in a facility designed for 3,204.

…Conditions were especially harsh in maximum-security facilities located at high altitudes. The high-security prison in the jungle area of Iquitos was in poor condition and was under renovation. During the year the PNP transferred responsibility for operating the facility to INPE.

Prison guards and fellow inmates reportedly abused prisoners. There were deaths of inmates in prisons, most attributed to fellow inmates, but some were due to negligence by guards. Guards received little or no training or supervision. Corruption was a serious problem, and some guards cooperated with criminal bosses who oversaw the smuggling of guns and drugs into prisons.

I wasn’t commenting on what the conditions are just that people are projecting what they hope the conditions are. I realize anyone can search on Peruvian prison conditions and post them but I highly doubt they could cite conditions or stats without an Internet search.

“I heard on talk radio yesterday that the maximum security prisons are at high altitudes in the mountains… altitude sickness above 10K”

Hmm, sounds like an alternative to one of those altitude tents, if you don’t want to dope with EPO.

The San Juan de Lurigancho men’s prison held 9,874 prisoners in a facility designed for 3,204.

Hey, sounds like an American prison!

Folsom State Prison holds 4,427, and was designed for 1,800. Kern Valley State Prison holds 5,013, and was designed for 2,448.

I only quote Californian prisons cause their info is easy to find.

I listened to an interview with a guy who has visited this prison and his description was pretty mind blowing. As asmall example I think he said that the showers ran for 15 minutes for each cell ( not really a cell but a room with 20 guys) once a week. He also mentioned the food is pumped from tubes or hoses that come up from the ground.

I wonder what Joran would pay for soap on a rope right about now?

Im going to guess that showers will be the least of his worries.

Odds that he doesnt make it to prison because hes found swinging in his cell?

as far as ‘running showers’…the only running he will be doing is for his life when he has 19 other sickos trying to violate every one of his orifices.
