Vandals tear down, steal famous Mojave Cross

The 76-year old Mojave Cross, most recently made famous again because it was at the center of a Supreme Court case that recently was decided. The Court ruled that the cross could stay atop Sunrise Rock, which sits on government-owned land. The April 28th ruling was seen as a defeat for the ACLU, which had pressed its case that the cross was an unconstitutional violation of the separation of church and state.
