So me and the wife are considering moving to Vancouver, BC. We’re heading up there to check it out at the end of the month. Can anyone offer some insight as to:
1 - Good places to live (30-something professional couple, no kids);
2 - Economy (we’re both in the software industry, but that’s not to say we’re not considering a change);
3 - How it compares to some trendy US cities, like San Francisco or Chicago;
4 - Road racing/tri scene;
5 - Social atmosphere (nightlife, et cetera);

I have a gaggle of aunts & cousins up there, They came down to visit last year. They bitch a lot about, Immigration of Chinese (it use to be easy to get in ) / Asian groups that buy up property and build houses, using the whole lot area. Where a normal person would have a yard – deck- -garden - RV parking, Nope, maybe 16 inches around the edge and straight up two story white box. They normally have no furniture for a year or two, with 10 + living there.
Inland areas are filling with new homes, but the 2 or 3 lane expressway are just parking lots at rush hour.
Otherwise its a nice place, from their reports.
