My back tire pumps perfect, the front blows air all over the place and I can never get it to as high a psi. I’m doing something wrong - please share on what tips and tricks work for you to get a tight seal.
Is there any hope of a fix without taking off and re-gluing?
I was using one of the ones you screw onto the outside of the stem, it leaked exactly like you said, so i tried to use plumbers tape to make a better seal on the threads…didnt work, I ended up buying the continental valve extenders, you actually remove the stem core and install in into the extender. No problems, works perfectly.
I opted to just get a longer value - these 80mm values work perfectly for me: http://www.tri-sports.com/butu80st.html

I should have clarified tubulars…how easy is the conti fix??
super easy, <5 minutes. should work just fine on tubulars as long as they have a removable valve core.
conti comps? I assume compatible - totally weird how I can get the back to 160+ but the front starts to splutter when ever I try to pump it over 100???
that is weird, maybe something is wrong with the threading or the core???
