Vacation Questions...HELP!

Hey everyone,

Two quickies:

1)* *I’m trying to decide on a vacation to the French side of St Martin. Anyone been, and what were your experiences? Specifically, the Maho Beach Resort?

  1. Several of us snowed-in Canucks are thinking of driving down south a ways to get some riding in over Easter (March 24/25 etc). How far south from Toronto/Montreal would we have to go to get 60’ and some excellent riding roads? Suggestions please…

imagine my suprise when I read your post. St. Martin is great, I was there two years ago, stayed at Oyster Pond on the French/Dutch border. Rent a car, see the island. If you dive, go to Saba, it’s incredible.

  1. I have not been to St. Martin, but I have had friends report back to me that it is very nice. Very European feel. Great resturants and hotels. Great beaches, some/many clothing-optional if you are into that.

  2. As for a drive-to place from Toronto to train, I don’t know the specifics, but generally speaking, you are starting to get nice weather and good terrain in Virgina, and the Carolina’s. Not bad here in Toronto yesterday. I live just north of the city in Aurora, and I was out for a nice 2 hour ride on Saturday. Althuogh it’s snowing again today.

French side of St Martin?

Absolutely. Five stars. *****

I’ve never been there- seen pictures, and it just *sounds *good.

You could probably get to the 60’s in Tennesee or North Carolina in late march. Lots of good riding in those areas. I would suggest South Carolina though, just to be sure about the warmer temps.
