Anyone have the geo of the v1 Soloist with the 1" steerer? I have a few and sizing it up against a current model…and it doesn’t add up.
ex. the head tube length of the 54cm is 15cm.
I used to ride (and still have several) a v1 54cm and loved it, but started riding 56cm Cannondales. Trying to go back to a Soloist, but can’t decide b/w a 54 or 56.
I’ve got a 02 58cm soloist frame just sitting in the garage. I thought about selling it, just could never pull the trigger, too much sentimental value. From what I remember, the geometry has stayed the same all the way to the slc now. When in doubt, go a touch smaller - E
This Soloist most definitely has a 15cm headtube. My other Soloist has a 14cm (54cm) and I also have a 56cm with a 16cm headtube. The Soloist in question has a 15cm (quadruple measured).
Worked now…but makes this a bit more complicated. 15cm isn’t listed anywhere, but my best guess is that it was a custom (???) or they mucked up the measurements on the charts. Suppose I could measure the rest of the bike, but figured the headtube would be the easiest to determine the size.
Hey you’re right, the head tube has changed. The head tube on my 58 v1 soloist is 168mm, the geometry chart says that the new soloist is 180mm. So obviously there was a change but who knows when. If mine is ~170 and is a 58, then the one you are looking at seems to be a 56??? Are the other numbers of the frame you’re looking at similar to the published geometry charts? - Ernie
