I have an olympic race in June that requires a wetsuit. Race itineray reads: “Wetsuits Mandatory!”. Judging from the exclaimation point, I’d guess they don’t really wanna know how broke I am at the moment or willing to accept my financial limitations as an exception. So…I am low on cash and desparately seeking a sleeveless wetsuit to purchase. I am 6’2" and 170 lbs putting me in the medium/long range of most sizing charts. If you have one laying around and are willing to part with it for 50-100 dollar range please let me know. Thanks and I hope everyone’s season is shaping up nicely for them.
Jelder - Just replaced my Quintana Roo with a ProMotion. I’ll sell my QR for $50 + shipping. I’m 6-3 and wieghed 175. I’m smaller then that now! It is old but still works great. I bought it when I lived in Virginia. Has numerous finger cuts, but no holes that I remember. I last used this suit at the Great Floridian 1/2 IM in October. Please email me at pennyfarthinginn@aug.com if you’d like to buy the suit. You can visit my web site at http://wwww.pennyfarthinginn.net or you can call me at 1-800-395-1890. I’m in St Augustine, Florida.
Not to rain on anyones’ parade, but I understand (after I bought my suit) that wetsuits can be rented for approximately $35 per occasion, as I have learned from perusing this forum. Who knew?! Having not done this, however, I suspect one so interested would need to be somewhat near a relatively decent sized population center in order to find a multisport store that provides rentals. That said, if I could get a halfway decent suit fo $50-100 vs renting once for ~$35, I’d go with buying the used suit. Methinks you have probably already reasoned that out. Good luck in your search.
