I would first suggest Play It Again Sports they rock and you can get them right there, but if you don’t find what you want these are outstanding sticks that will serve you well. I play my older Mizuno’s now, but loved these as well.

72 inches? Not unusual at all. I have more than that and I’m 6’2.
Golfsmith.com sells used clubs. You may be able to get a complete set that is not very used (demo or used one season before someone upgraded to this years model).
At university where I played ball that refered to 2x outside of shoulder to longest finger. Just measured mine again and it runs about 36.5 inches these days. 86 inches fingertip to fingertip.

Consensus seems to be that you probably need a set sized +1 (though not necessarily - google up some formulas to evaluate your combination of height and arm length)…but what I wanted to address was the cost for standard sized clubs…I recently picked up a brand new name brand (Wilson) set from a chain sporting goods store for $160 - full run of cavity backed irons, good putter, oversized driver, 3 wood, hybrid, covers, and a decent bag. They are SO much better than the inherited 40 year old bladed irons I had been using (for many years of intermittent beer and camaraderie playing) it’s ridiculous. I could up my playing frequency and seriousness by a factor of 10 and the clubs would not be holding me back. For B&C playing, there appears to be no need to pay anywhere near $500 for an initial set of clubs. I’m trying to think of an analogy with bikes - performance-wise the clubs your grandfather played with were a Schwinn Varsity. Today’s dirt-cheap clubs are a P2K. Today’s less cheap clubs are a P3C. Something like that…the point is neither modern variation will put you on the podium and neither will keep you off. Then again, if you’re even contemplating spending 5 bills on golf clubs, money is probably not a major concern.
