USAT Withdraws Sanctioning for Lake Geneva Triathlon

Apparently they yanked the sanctioning for all the Lake Geneva Extreme Sports events!
They posted all the details on www.tdottriathlon.com.

So yeah, there’s these runners that are going to cross the Sahara. Pretty amazing, eh?

This was my wife’s first and only race. They aren’t the most well run races, but it’s always sad to see something like this happen.

I wouldn’t consider a week old, old news. Since they sent out the press release today to the media, that makes it kind of new news. The Kennedy assination, that is old news. Moon landing OLD news. You get the idea.

It’s old news on ST if it’s already been posted. There were 2 threads last week. Therefore it’s old. You should have searched before posting.

Clarification: USAT sent out an email on the 2nd or 3rd of August with this info, not sure if there was a press release or not. I do see that it’s in this weeks email, just as a reminder I guess. So, it’s sort of old news.

That was the nice way of putting it:) it doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s never a good thing to see a race in trouble. THAT was the point :slight_smile:

Man, we already talked about all of that a week ago. So, you must have been on vacation.

To have USAT pull their support is a BIG deal. The RD had to REALLY mess up to get that to happen.
Do you no concerns about races that have safety, fairness, etc?

You know what it means when one has to try and resort to personal attacks against another.
