USAT Rankings to be posted by 8/1

Shall be interesting to see what they do this year based on some process tweaks.
Still hoping to make HM.

Dave

hh?

think you mean hm.

hh?

think you mean hm.
Maybe he means “Honorable Hopeful”?

What about your ST ranking, what do you think that is?

I’m with Martin… (yawn) USAT telling me I’m AA or HM or whatever doesn’t make or break my season and 10 minutes after they come out no one’s gonna remember anyway and come to think of it, I’m finding out in most cases, most people could give a shit if I’ve won race or fell flat on my face.
Take it for what it’s worth. Your own validity.

We get it - you’re too cool to be ranked.

Not at all. I just don’t think there is much substance to it. Just my opinion.

I have no idea what AA or HM is…does this mean I don’t care?

I have no idea what AA or HM is…

You’re kidding right? You haven’t been following Lindsey Lohan at all??? AA is a 12 step program to help habitual abusers.

As for HM, isn’t that always the begining of a ship name or a military branch or something in England? You know Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

For the record, I am not personally fond of that pink text color.

hey dave, just ignore these types. for the top AG athletes it means something, if no more than you worked hard enough to earn it the old fashion way. For the BOP’s of course it means nothing.

Yes, I agree with you.

But, I am still so amazed how so many on ST love to rip apart others goals, even though they sure seem to want support for theirs.

As I say, some of us in the sport are inclusive, others seems to love to be exclusive.

Yep, for ME, USAT means something, Nationals means something, Worlds means something, Ranking means something.
Just as much as others for Kona, but they just seem to have their blinders on.

Dave

your not alone, 1300 of the the top triathletes in the USA showed up for Portland and ripped the course to pieces…i’m sure most of the nay sayers couldn’t even qualify for it.

I keep asking the folks who attack who went to nationals, let alone qualified for worlds, and nothing gets answered.

Again, let them go for their Kona dream. It is great and I fully support them. Just leaves more room for the few
of us who have a dream to represent our country at the ITU worlds.

I know I am looking forward to Portland already for next year, then worlds at Canada. Now, would be cool to qualify
for worlds in 2009, but going go need to work by butt off the next year to have a shot at nationals.
I may even look into long course and see what it would take to try and get into worlds. Going to be a HUGE
honor for me to wear my Team USA stuff to races, just like the Mdot folks love to do.

Now, I have been told I only cheerypick races, so nationals could not have been 1300 of the top triathletes with
60% being AA’s.

Dave

Ah, so USAT track your drinking and Britishness and grade you based on that? Like a sporting National Inquirer

I’ll likely be HMAASTHAZMAT or something then. I’ll be sure to rush to the USAT site on 8/1 to find out

Can you even get a USAT ranking if you are English, or a ferinner in general?

As I deign to live in the US and have coughed up for the dubious value of a USAT membership I’m entitled to everything that every other USAT member gets (ie nothing of any use…)
.

Thanks for posting. I was wondering when they were going to come out. I do care about the rankings. I was AA last year-not the drinking kind the All-American kind  in F25-29, but I want to move up this year.

If people care so little about the rankings, I’m not sure why they are taking time to this read thread and make comments about it.

By the way Dave, I’m in for Vancouver 2008!

Some just love to throw their negative energy around.

So, you are in for Vancouver, cool, congrads. Where did you qualify?
Also, AA last year, congrads!! That is NOT easy!!! Does USAT
do anything special for AA folks? I thought they had a special log into
their site somewhere. Boy would I love to make AA. Shall see soon.

Will see you in Vancouver. Been to a worlds? I will be in Germany in 4 weeks.
Going to be fun!!

For the same reason people slow down on the GSP to look at accidents.

(Used to be GSP exits 98/100/105/109 for me until I moved, now it’s only 114!)

Hall Hamerican…
