I thought they were supposed to start updating the USAT rankings on June 1st. Anyone know when they’ll be up?
Yes…does anyone know?
Edit:
Here is the quote from Jason earlier in the year:
"We are planning on posting the initial rankings for '07 by 6/1. Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
Take care,
Jason Halley
Membership Rankings/Project Coordinator
USA Triathlon"
Per the USAT website:
“Rankings will begin being posted by August 1 and at that point will be real time, assuming that results are received in the appropriate format from the race directors. If a race you participated in is not posted within two weeks, please contact the race director”
I had gotten a note for July 1st from USAT.
Ranking is one of the big USAT deals. Really disappointed they have prioritized this such that we basically do not see anything
until the season is over. Wonder why they made this decision? I sure would have liked to see early to use
as a motivator to do better in races this season.
Dave
Are you serious? If you would like, I’ll make up a fake ranking page with your name at the bottom. That ought to really motivate you. ![]()

Yep, I am serious.
Dave
Does that mean buying at least two sets of Zipps was not motivation enough?
YO!!!
You want a wetsuit???
Howz the training coming?
Hey, some dude tried to pimp your old bike for you one of the local tri club mailing list. I thought it was kind of funny to see the post making it’s way around the country.
JB baby!!! Former Dell dude. I know him from Austin. Him and a buddy were out here a month or so ago training. He said he’d toss it around to see if it’d sell.
BUY MY BIKE!!! It’s nearly the same and cheaper than buying new!
“You want a wetsuit???”
Sure, although I already got a brand new QR superfull direct from QR for this season, so I would feel guilty accepting it. That suit has worked out quite well. Does xterra have a non-wetsuit legal suit? That would be a good niche for them, since very few xterra races are wetsuit legal.
“Howz the training coming?”
Pretty well. Decided to do E’man last minute with only rest being the drive there on Saturday. Went 4:14. Conditions were uber-perfect. Run was steady but flat from not resting, 1:33. I was actually thinking about your run at Honu in the later stages, and I was telling myself I had to beat your 1:32…oh well. Gave up the powercranks, unless I need them as supplemental training should any run injuries happen, and I’m JFTing…its more fun like that.
