I thought the board had a meeting in early Sept. I heard that this new guard wanted minutes from the meeting posted within 2 weeks. It is now a month out and I don’t see them on the USAT page. Same old Same old…

I remember from about a year ago the board made accepting free entries into IM HI against the rules. I think Steve Locke was the main offender. I also think 1 or 2 others on the board took advantage of that before they changed the rule. This was voted on at a board meeting.
Lottery Slots were given out in mid April.
Election to the board was around June.
I dont think anything nefarious is going on. That is a big word…nefarious.
There are two types of conflict of interest - the first is actual (if he got the slot prior to the rule, he is ok). The second type is implied. I find it amazing that he wouldn’t abide by the new rules.
How should we view this? I find the entire situation wrong.
I may be wrong. If he ran on a platform of “same old crap - I plan on taking care of myself first”, then I am sorry.
Sp our board of Directors shouldnt race? If the problem is implied…it is your problem not his, he has done nothing wrong. Are you saying he should have not raced after he was elected?

mid-sept. i’m the sec’ty. yes, minutes are supposed to be posted. we’ve just finished getting settled the last issue settled, the wording of a particular resolution. should be up within a few days.
What I’m saying is that if he got his slot in the race due to his position at USATriathlon, then it is wrong.
