Well, finally they put some really great aircraft to their inventory.
Clever decision!

Don’t forget us,Northrop Grumman and GE motors
.
…and the whole things will be bolted together in Alabama.
EADS/Airbus are very very happy though…
Its amazing that at a buck fifty for a euro , they can be competitive . With their 35 hour work week ?
My hat is off to them , nicely done .

Well with the 35 hour week theory we work less but get paid less aswell so the only brake on competitivity is the exchange rate, amazing though that they can get a military contract bidding against Boeing…
(in practice most people work more than 35 hours unless they are working fixed hour service jobs or are in a highly unionized environment like Airbus).

I wonder if the unions will ever wake up and smell the jet fuel…
European’s have much higher productivity than us lazy American’s. They can build it better for less.

Northrop Grumman a US company is the parent company of Airbus.
The tankers will be produced near Mobile,Alabama.
Up here in Seattle people are pissed! Apparently Boeing has some time to appeal the decision so this may not be over yet.

You didn’t write that in pink…
You’re a moron! Why don’t you move!!
American workers stay longer in the office, at the factory, or on the farm than their counterparts in Europe and most other rich nations, and they produce more per person over the year.
When French colleagues were confronted with UK/US statements that we worked longer and so did more, they replied they managed to do the same work but in a much shorter time ![]()
Apparently there are studies that show the French are the most productive nation per hour worked…
Does it all really matter?
Almost all industrialized nations are more productive than America. Germany being the most productive, and they have the most vacation and least amount of work hours. Go figure.
I have a hard time believing that. Do you have some stats/studies?
Here’s one article to counter your article. We work more hours to produce the same as our industrialized counterparts = poorer productivity.

You may be right as the requirements for a US sheet metal aircraft mechanic.
From your own very dated article:“Currently the US worker works more hours than his or her counterpart in other industrialized countries, and he or she also leads the way in terms of productivity.”
Do you not read what you post? Your assertion is patently wrong.
It’s beautiful. It out classes my beloved KC-135.

No no - we produce more things in more time! That is productivity isnt it? Why work 30 hours a week when you can do more in 60?
