Can anybody figure out what this is all about? http://www.bestoftheustriathletes.com.
du.com is pulling posts that speak negatively about it, so I’m wondering if anybody had some thoughts.

but he always pulls any post that can be considered remotely negative.
Yeah, he just sent me an email saying the negative post wasn’t intelligent conversation. I guess that meant that the post didn’t agree with his point of view.
Reading through their requirements- you must be a card carrying USAT member in order to participate, not a one day liscense holder. So I guess there is some connection somewhere.
According to the event website, one-day licenses are acceptable:
“USAT STATUS: State Qualifiers and the Championship are USAT sanctioned events. All participants must either hold a USAT Annual Membership Card or have purchased a one-day USAT license for both their Qualifier race and the Championship”
It’s an interesting concept, I just wonder how many of the actual “best” triathletes from each state are going to be willing and able to go to TImberman for the big race. You have to figure that a lot of them are going to be peaking and focusing on Nationals/Worlds or Kona and for a lot of them, that’d be a lot of traveling in a fairly short amount of time. BUT, Jerry is a super guy, probably the best race announcer in the business and if anyone can make this work, it’d be him.
