Hi, All I want to do is wirelessly transfer data from a Garmin 610 Forerunner to Training Peaks. Presently it does this to Garmin Connect no problems. However trying to get Training Peaks to do the same is like learning to fly the space shuttle. At the moment in Device Manager, I need to select files to transfer to Training Peaks but what I want to do is put my watch next to my computer and wirelessly upload to both Garmin Connect and Training Peaks. Surely this shouldn’t be too difficult!
The way I do it for my Garmin is hit the browse to upload device file then select the workout from my Garmin files to upload. Haven’t thought of it as too cumbersome but what do I know being a Luddite and all.
no it’s a manual process but it’s pretty quick. I upload every workout to to TP, Strava and Garmin Connect - it doesn’t take more than 30 secs to get all 3 done (once the device has connected)

What he said. But you can do bulk uploads with Device Agent and it will upload them to the appropriate day and time.

I have seen more than one person (besides me) with this problem, with a number of different Garmin models. The software is supposed to upload automatically from Garmin devices, but they do not. The dropdowns have the models, but they are not recognized. I opened a ticket with TP on this very same issue, and got the same answer. When are you guys going to start supporting the latest Garmin models?
Possibly similar - though it looks like my issue may be on the Garmin end. I can’t get my 305 to upload to anything. Occasionally it’ll play nice with the Garmin Training software & upload to it. But TP refuses to even find it, just says it cannot be located. Last night I got it to *almost *start to upload, it thought about it for a bit, then bombed out. Same thing happens if I try to upload it to a HumanaFit account (MapMyFitness platform). It goes into “thinking” mode & never does anything…
Think it’s the Garmin firmware or something? Any ideas on how I can not lose all the data already stored (without manually logging it somewhere, that is)? I’ve tried uninstalling both TP & the Garmin trainingcenter (or whatever it’s called) but it didn’t seem to do much. I’m outta my league here!
Is there any way for someone who has used Garmin Connect for a year or so to BULK upload all of their activities into their TrainingPeaks account?
i.e.- there’s no way the manual process will work for that many activities.
Thanks in advance,
YT
Do you still have the Garmin files on your computer? If so you can do a bulk upload with Device Agent.
all of your files should be on your computer unless you’ve had to delete them due to a corrupt file. You should be able to find all of them using Device Agent and upload from there.
You might want to start by cleaning off the copper connectors on the back of the watch to make sure you’re getting a good connection when you plug it into the cradle. Those can get corroded and dirty from lots of use.
