I am thinking of upgrading the wheels on my tri-bike. It came with Velocity Deep V’s. Was thinking of Ksyrium Elites or Cane Creek Aereoheads (I can get a bit of a deal on these). Is this a lateral move, or do I have to go to Zipps or other Carbon rims to make a difference?
Keep your Velocity rims for training and inclement weather racing. Get a Renn 575 disc and a front HED3. Its the fastest combo I have found, especially on flatter courses. They come clincher or tubular and 650c or 700c, but thats a whole other argument. Not too expensive either. Don’t be fooled by advertising, Lance could ride his TT on anything he wants, he rides a HED 3 front and a disc.
