UPDATE for Thursday August 13th. The lucky number drawn was “30”. So that brings the price down to $595…
UPDATE: This is my version of “The Price is Right”. Here’s how this little game works. Until it either sells or gets too low for me to bother with I’ll draw a number from a cup each day. The numbers are 10-100 in increments of 10. The number drawn completely at random will be the amount of $$ that I’ll knock off for that day.
For instance today the number was “60” so I’m reducing the sales price of the wheel by $60 for a new sales price of $715.
Tomorrow it could be anywhere from $10 off to $100 off depending on the luck of the draw. Of course it’s game over when someone buys the wheel.
Two notes: (1). Yes, the discount amount drawn at random today will carry forward to tomorrow and the next day.
(2). No sorry, I won’t sell it for half of what it’s worth. If it gets that low and there’s still nobody wanting it I’ll keep it and try e-bay.
This wheel has less than 100 miles on it. I bought it new in April and have done 4 ten mile time trials on it and two sprint triathlons.
As you might expect from a wheel with this light usage it’s for all intents and purposes “like new”. It has a small tear in a decal but other than that and the aluminum braking surface showing very light evidence of being used it’s perfect.
It will not include a tire or tube but will have a rim strip, QR and the valve extender which came with it.
The reason I’m selling it is because the strong wind around here seems to effect it a little more than I’d like to deal with. So I’ll finish out the season on my backup aero wheel (Rolf Vector Pro) and decide what to do next year.
For whatever reason I have been unable to get tiny pic to work for me today but I put two pics in my profile. One attempts to show the small tear in the decal, the other shows the wheel as it looks today, Sunday August 9th.
New this wheel goes for around $1,100 but I’ll take $775 plus shipping.
Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for reading.
