Good news. I was at the Hospital today and Michael opened his eyes for the first time since the accident (almost 4 weeks now). It was a very awesome experience. There were three ladies with their dad in the same suite when I walked in. They said, “I saw that your friend had his eyes open!” I freaked. Walked over and sure enough his eyes pop open. He kept them open for about 2 min, but you could tell he was in a fog. He was moving around quite a bit. Best way to describe it was like a bird trying to emerge from its shell. Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps making progress. Cincy peeps please go by and kick his ass to start waking up.

hey mike, that’s awesome. I think about mike everyday when I train. He is an inspiration to me and was the first one I called for advice about kona. hopefully I can get more advice from him!!!
I talked to Rosemary (his wife) last night and Mike was in fact squeezing her hand when she asked him to. I am pissed that I have to be here all day, we are just slammed. I really want to go back and see how he continues to improve.
