Unpadded/Lightly-Padded Cycling Gloves

Any recommendations? I like Pearl Izumi Podium Gloves but they don’t make 'em anymore.

Thanks.

Resurrecting this.

Had Giro Zeros and Spec Grails.
So apart from limited availability and paying 35+ for some cheaply made gloves that disintegrate after a month of use, anybody found a reasonable priced ‘off-brand’ alternative?

Handups, I just got a pair they are fun and good
.

I’ve tried a few pairs of fingerless gloves, never loved any of them, finally realized that I actually had better grip and less hand pain and soreness when I went gloveless. Basically any glove, over time, is going to compress or pull at some part of your hand, especially when you grip tight, and that compression just makes everything worse on longer rides IMO.

…until you fall (or get knocked) off. Then it hurts a whole lot more with no skin on your palms 😖

Haha, very true. I was not considering falls

Fox makes non-padded full finger gloves, on my second pair now but my first pair lasted me years and the only reason I replaced was due to the smell. I only ride off-road and gravel now, fwiw, never wore gloves on the road unless it was for warmth.

I’ve also been using handup gloves for a few months now. I had always disliked standard fingerless padded gloves, these full finger non-padded gloves work great for me even in 90+ degree rides.

I am a heavy sweater and I ride vintage gear, so replacing sweat-eaten hood-covers isn’t as easy or even possible. Plus I still prefer cork tape, that I consider best for lasting shock absorption, grip in all conditions without the plastic look.
I looked into automotive gloves, but looks and leather……
I was thinking about going Chinese, and just had wondered if anyone has tried any of those out there.
