Under water cycling?

Noticed this cycling class in Bad Saulgau on Monday evening. Never seen an underwater spinning class before.

The class in action

Great! Another way to take lanes away from lap swimmers at our local pool. :frowning:

Seriously, what is the supposed benefit of spinning in water?

i don’t get it.

You are actually wrong here. This is not a lap pool.
This round pool is specific for different water classes like aerobics etc.

So this one takes nothing away

A woman once broke the American record in the mile without running a step. She ran in the water. You can’t deny resistance training when you can’t be on the roads.

That may not be a lap pool where you swim. But they already close off lanes for water aerobics, etc. at my pool. If they get some of these aqua-bikes, I know exactly where they’ll use 'em. :frowning:

Sure, I can see Aqua-jogging, especially for rehabilitation. But, what do you gain by putting a bike in a pool? Spinning on land is already impact-free resistance.

Cooling which is usually non-existent in spinning classes.

But, what do you gain by putting a bike in a pool?

D’uh! You don’t have to stop working out to pee.

ROFL!

@Sausagetail: Yah, I see your point. Ya wouldn’t want any of that uncomfortable perspiration when working out, huh?

Who knew??
