Unbelievable Example of Dangers Posed by Elderly Drivers

You hit the nail on the head. Except, that is the argument AARP is using in Florida to protect its elderly from laws that limit their access.

Our insurance companies make insurance expensive for all teenagers by generalizing that teens are statistically more likely to get in an accident. Yes, there are discounts for smart kids and kids in college, but generally, teens pay more for insurance. AARP does not want any laws passed against the elderly because of generalized assumptions.

Most reasonable people that are not in AARP believe the testing should take into effect the personal abilities of the driver. But, it will never happen. AARP is the largest and most influential. No politician will touch them.

Remember the guy that hit 12 St. Pete Maddog triathletes? Wonder if he ever was prosicuted.
